Create

Blank. Empty. Space.
Colorless, wordless, lineless page.

Poised hand grabs fountain pen,
dips it in ink.
It drinks its fill
and spills
onto the canvas.

It is time
to create.

Leather, wire, yarn, clay,
watercolors, acrylic paint.

Music notes, fabrics,
reeds and straw for weaving baskets.

It is time to create a masterpiece.

Whether it takes 6 days or one.
Whether you’re breathing into an instrument
or breathing out planets and suns.

You are an artist
and your work
is glorious.
